About This Project

想像をうながす曖昧

デザインされた情報は、選択を容易に、暮らしを便利にしています。
しかし、意図的に強く打ち出されたメッセージは、同時に思考の歩みを止めているのかもしれません。
あふれる情報、価値観の多様化、予測が困難な事象。わたしたちは不確実な社会のなかで、確実なものに目を向けがちです。
この作品は、デザインとは対照的な「曖昧にする」行為を通して、観察と想像を促すインスタレーションです。

Goodness of Ambiguity

Designed information makes choices easier and life more convenient.
However, deliberately strong messages may also be slowing down our thinking.
We are bombarded with information, diversified values, and unpredictable events.In our uncertain society, we tend to focus on what is certain.
This work is an installation that encourages observation and imagination through the act of “making ambiguous,” which is in contrast to design.
